Weapons come in all shapes and sizes, and no two are alike. We began making our own weapons about 20 years ago when first getting started in Kuk Sool. We found that in order to get a practice weapon, you were forced to purchase from a limited number of suppliers who offered only COOKIE CUTTER weapons.

If you are happy with the two cookie cutter swords offered on various association web sites, and Industry catalogs, we CAN NOT help you.

Each weapon manufactured by Kwan Jang Nym Lary Franklin & Kyo Sa Nym Jason Franklin is specifically designed and customized to the individual who has ordered it.
Each Gum (Sword) is an individual piece of art, and no design is ever duplicated. On average each Gum requires more than 40 individual man hours to create.
Customers may choose from a variety of woods, stains and finishes. They may also select blade lengths, blade styles, and custom wood inlay or designs.
Customers are given the opportunity to provide design ideas and general input. However a great deal of the process is left to the creative license of the designer and manufacturer.
Due to the lengthy process of manufacturing each weapon, a lead time of three months for delivery is typical.
