Owner and head instructor of Kuk Sool Won™ of PasadenaSa Bum Nym Lary’s training began under the Kwan Jang Nyms Barry and Choon Ok Harmon in Clear Lake, Texas. He has been studying Kuk Sool for 16 years. His personal history consists of being an officer and helicopter pilot for the United States Marine Corps. After serving in the Marine Corps, Sa Bum Nym continued his career as a corporate and commercial pilot. He has since retired from American Airlines and is now dedicating his life to the pursuit of Kuk Sool Won™
Linda Franklin

Owner and wife of Sa Bum Nym Lary FranklinJo Kyo Nym Linda has also had the privilege of training under the tutelage of Kwan Jang Nyms Barry and Choon Ok Harmon in Clear Lake, Texas. Jo Kyo Nym Linda has been married to Sa Bum Nym Lary for 38 years and has enjoyed and supported him in every career and adventure he has thus experienced. Her love of the Martial Art of Kuk Sool Won™ makes her experience as school owner very special. She daily witnesses the improvement and delight that the students of Kuk Sool Won™ of Pasadena experience. Her goal is to “Make the World A Better Place One Student At A Time.”

Oldest son of Sa Bum Nym LaryKyo Sa Nym Jason is prized as an excellent instructor at Kuk Sool Won™ of Pasadena. He is a talented martial artist who instills excitement and confidence in each and every one of his students. Kyo Sa Nym Jason moved his entire family to Texas from Florida solely to help his family teach the art of Kuk Sool Won™ in the Pasadena, Texas area. Being the father of three young children, Kyo Sa Nym Jason has become a very loved and sought after teacher for the youngest of our students, the ages 3 – 8 years of age. His patience and sense of teaching in an enjoyable manner have endeared him to the hearts of his students along with their parents.
Shelley Franklin

Owner and Business AdministrationShelley stays busy making sure that each and every student is taken care of in many, many ways. She follows their enrollments, testing, attendance and all other requirements expected of them. Shelley is very personable and loves to get to know the students and their parents. She looks after them all as just an extension of our own family, serving their needs and assuring them a pleasant and enjoyable experience with Kuk Sool Won™ of Pasadena, Texas. She is a dedicated mom who along with everything else makes sure that her own three children attend classes and practice regularly.

InstructorKyo Sa Nym “Ed” also began his training under the Kwan Jang Nyms Barry and Choon Ok Harmon in Clear Lake. After he achieved the rank of Jo Kyo Nym, 1st Degree Black Belt he left for college. Upon return he stepped in the front door of our newly opened Do Jang and has been here ever since. Kyo Sa Nym Ed is a dedicated teacher. He is diligent to the teachings of Grand Master In Hyuk Suh through the instruction of Sa Bum Nym Lary. He has demonstrated his allegiance over the years to Kuk Sool Won™ of Pasadena by always being present. It would indeed be odd to come to class and not seem him on the floor teaching.
